Today is the set aside for acclimatization in Namche Bajar. Mountain experts and doctors recommend that we stay active and move around even during the rest day instead of continuing ascending ahead. There are a few options set aside for acclimatization here.
We can either stroll around the capital of Sherpa in Namche’s or come in contact with the Sherpa people and their rich culture, or we can hike up to the Everest View Hotel and enjoy an up-close view of Everest and its neighbors.

We descend for about half an hour to the Debuche through the Rhododendron and Fir forest before crossing a river.
Next, we ascend and notice that as we climb higher, the landscape becomes drier. We walk in Everest climber’s village of Pangboche before reaching Dingboche, a beautiful town located on the lap of the Mountain.
Here, we will also see a small helipad used for helicopter rescue during emergencies if we can walk Pheriche. We may even take a class with a mountain specialist in a medical clinic at Pheriche. And back to Dingboche for the night.

After breakfast, we walk an easy walk towards Dugla. Next, we ascend the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and then walk through the boulder-strewn slopes as we climb Chupki Lhara, where we find an array of stones with prayer flags used as memorials to Scott Fischer (American mountaineer) and 10-time Everest committer Babu Chiri Sherpa (Nepal mountain guide).
They lost their lives on a mission to climb Everest. The trail then continues to the Khumbu Glacier moraine to reach Lobuche for the overnight.

We take the trail to Everest Base Camp through the Khumbu glacier. Continuing straight ahead, we reached across the Indian army mountaineers’ memorials. First, we ascend south, then turn east to the main line of the valley. We then trek on a winding path below the southern flank of the moraine from the Lhotse Glacier.
Next, we go on a pleasant trail along a streamside. The route to the Amphu Labtsa lies to the southeast. Our guide will give you a wake-up call from 12 to 1 am and have our breakfast before we start. Reaching the summit at noon is highly recommended because solid winds in the highlands might become a barrier to a successful meeting.
